Hope for Maggie

Maggie* used to work at the local hardware store until her 25 yr. old son became very ill requiring her care 24/7.  With no income, Maggie had no way to pay her rent or buy food.  Her case worker called VIA to discuss options.  Turns out that Maggie lives one block away from Hope Fellowship CRC.  Pastor Michelle and Trish Van Dusseldorp put together a box of food from Hope Fellowship’s food pantry and delivered it to Maggie’s door.  Arrangements were made to cover rent until Maggie will begin to receive payment for staying home and providing health care for her son.  Maggie is in tears over the gesture of love.  She had 17 cents in her bank account and her cupboards are empty.  Maggie’s caseworker is completely in awe over how God is working through the situation!  “I find it amazing that in this huge city, Maggie and Hope Fellowship are one block apart!  This is a total God ordained solution!  I’ve been in social work for 30 years and struggle to get anything done.  With VIA’s help and the help of the Lord, we have come up with solutions and shown the love of God in the matter of one day! God bless you.”
