Passing the Baton

As I wind down to retirement at the end of December, I am struck by how it has been so good to serve with you at Volunteers in Action over the past few decades.

I am very thankful to each of you have supported VIA over the ears through you volunteering, financial support, board involvement and prayers! And many of you have become dear friends through this time. God has been faithful and I am thankful for his provision.

In retirement, I am looking forward to traveling with my wife, Pamela, volunteering, maybe working part-time, hiking, skiing and continued lifelong learning. The future has so much possibility.

The challenges we see in our communities are many, but I am thankful that our present VIA staff and board are strong and will continue to lead us as we respond with “Service in Christ’s Name” for years to come! We are thankful for God’s provision in bringing Deone Quist as VIA’s new Director and feel confident in passing her the baton! As you have supported VIA in the past, I ask that you continue to generously support this cause and ministry in the future. Thank you to all of you!
