The Blanket Exercise November 14, 6-8pm.

Visual example of Indigenous land

Join us on November 14, 2021 at the Table Public House from 6:00-8:00 for a hands-on exercise of the historical relationship between the Indigenous people and the North American people and how to move forward in restoring racial relationships.

Appropriate for ages 12 -adults, families, church council members, Bible study groups, student groups and anyone interested in race relations.

“...where common memory is lacking, where people do not share in the same past, there can be no real community. Where community is to be formed, common memory must be created.”   -George Erasmus, respected Canadian Indigenous leader

Come and listen to the story from the perspective of Susie Silversmith as she shares her experience of attending Indian boarding school from the age of 6 yrs old.

Blankets represent the land.  Experience the history of relationships between the Europeans, North Americans, churches and the Indigenous people of our country.

Please RSVP to donnh@viadenver.org or call 303-713-9144
