Faithful Volunteers

Our Durable Medical Equipment Bank is currently managed by our faithful volunteers, Dave Monsma and Delton Sas.  Dave says of his desire to volunteer in this way, “I received so much help when I needed it, it was a no-brainer… I have always had some extra space, whether at home or at my business, and I wanted to use it for something good.”

The equipment is stored at Dave’s place of business in Englewood. What is nice about storing equipment at work, says Dave, “is that we get to meet the people and interact with them, to hear their stories and feel their gratitude for equipment they would not otherwise have been able to obtain.” Delton enjoys being a part of the ministry too.  According to Dave, “Delton has been a real blessing to the ministry by the way he interacts with people, and helping them choose the best option for their needs by laying everything out ahead of time.”

Tina, who was recently assisted by our DME bank, is thankful for the help. “I will never forget you…every piece of equipment that I needed was available!!  I went out to the business where the equipment is stored.  They were so nice to me!!  I’ve had my surgery, and did in fact return the loaned equipment to that location.”

We are grateful to Dave and Delton for their ministry to those needing help in our community.  If you or anyone you know is in need of medical equipment, please call the VIA office at 303-713-9144.
